Copyright and Author’s Rights

The Eurasian Journal of Gender Studies (EJGS) is an open-access journal committed to the free dissemination of high-quality research. To that end, we require that authors agree to the following terms and conditions regarding copyright and licensing when submitting a manuscript for publication.

Copyright and author’s rights upon acceptance of an article, authors will be asked to complete a Journal Publishing Agreement (see more information on this). An email will be sent to the corresponding author confirming receipt of the manuscript, a Journal Publishing Agreement form, or a link to the online version of this agreement. 

Copyright

The authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal. The authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work, with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.

Creative Commons Attribution License 

EJEBS editorial policy allows the different versions of the paper: submitted version, revised version, accepted version (author accepted manuscript), and published version (version of record) to be deposited in the journal repository supported by OJS.

Licensing

EJEBS follows the CC BY license in its publishing issues, which means that readers are free to share the work: copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format and adapt the work: remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.

Attribution: appropriate credit must be given to the authors of the original work, and any changes made to the original material must be indicated.

Commercial use: commercial use is permitted under the CC BY license, provided that the original work is properly attributed.

Author Rights

The authors are allowed to store preprints and post-prints of their work. Authors have the right to post their work on the Internet (for example, in an institutional repository or personal website) before and during the review process in the editorial board of the journal. All copies of parts of or the whole article made under any of the author’s rights shall include the appropriate bibliographic citation and notice of EJEBS copyright.

Authors publishing in the journal agree with as follows:

  1. The authors reserve the right to enter into separate contractual agreements regarding the non-exclusive distribution of the version of the work published here (for example, placing it in the institute's repository, publishing it in a book, translating it into another language), with reference to its original publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are allowed to store preprints and postprints of their work. Authors have the right to post their work on the Internet (for example, in an institute repository or personal website) before and during the review process in the editorial board of the journal.
